What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, which translates to "knowledge of life", originated in India more than 5,000 years ago.

Ayurveda is a path to self-knowledge through awareness of the five elements - Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. These elements combine to form the mind-body-soul constitution, or dosha, which act like energies in our body and mind.

  • Vata dosha = air + space
  • Pitta dosha = fire + water
  • Kapha dosha = earth + water

Session Logistics

Healing sessions and cooking classes can happen in-person in "The Rose Room" (my home studio) or over a secure Zoom connection.

Confidentiality is very critical in the work we do together. All words that are spoken between us will remain between us.

My Experience


The discovery of food as medicine in 2007 took me on a rich exploration towards a life of passion and authentic living.

I first embarked on a rather strict self-healing plan to soothe a long-term chronic malady. With sustained and radical changes, all my symptoms were alleviated. So grateful!

I then took my deep love of cooking as healing on the road. I chose to fully immerse in the teachings by serving as a residential Healing Chef at retreat and healing centers. During this time I also taught classes on Ayurvedic living, held cooking classes, and witnessed the transformation of many beloved students and clients.

Many thanks to my mum and sister for all their cooking inspiration, my teachers for their encouragement, and the ongoing gifts of my ancestors.
